Changing Minds ... Changing Behavior
School safety measures have enhanced in response to modern-day threats. We applaud school resource officers (SROs), security guards, administrators, educators, staff and parents who help to provide safe learning environments. Commendable levels of government resources to public and private schools support best-practices. Some improvements to physical barriers and security are evident. The Ten List offers an invisible but significant approach to dissuading violence, destructive behaviors and schemes that overcome physical barriers, visual inspection and common methods of detection.
